What Academic Publishers Need to Know About STM’s SDG Roadmap: A Handy Infographic
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were launched in 2015, are a blueprint for creating a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable society, and academic publishers play a significant role in achieving these goals. Recently, STM, a not-for-profit association of academic publishers, has released the first part (i.e., Level 1) of an SDG Roadmap to guide publishers in implementing the SDGs and promoting sustainability. The roadmap offers concrete and practical steps for scholarly publishers to translate the broad goals of the SDGs into actionable initiatives.
